FEAR NOT
“Fear not” is one of the most repeated commands in Scripture—not because fear isn’t real, but because God’s presence is.
God speaks directly to our uncertainty:
“Fear not, for I am with you.” (Isaiah 41:10)
“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you.” (Joshua 1:9)
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1)
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
I’m beginning to trust that fear loses its authority when we remember who is with us.
Jesus echoes this truth plainly:“Peace I leave with you… not as the world gives.” (John 14:27)
Christ offers settled peace. The world offers temporary calm. The former holds firm through crisis and stress. The latter fades with circumstances—and beckens the need for Jesus in our lives.
Perfect love casts out fear—not because life becomes predictable, but because God remains present.
Ask Yourself:
What fear am I still carrying?
Name it. Release it. Let God’s promises—not your anxiety—set the tone for today.
The Lord is your light. Christ has given you His peace. Walk forward with light—without fear.
A PRAYER OF COURAGE AND PRESENCE:
Heavenly Father, in moments when fear rises and my faith feels unsteady, I thank You that You are near. You strengthen my hands, steady my heart, and speak peace into anxious thoughts. When my courage runs thin, You become my strength. Teach me to trust Your presence more than my fears.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
