THE ROAD BACK
My road map and adventure log. Transformation doesn’t happen without a guide and never all at once—and it rarely happens neatly.
The Road Back is not a highlight reel or a finished testimony. These are notes written while walking—lessons learned the slow way. Reflections from a life being restored, not one that’s already arrived.
Some weeks the road feels clear. Other weeks it feels long, quiet, and unfinished. Some chaotic, still. All belong here. If you’re somewhere in the middle—believing, stumbling, learning, unlearning—you’re not behind. You’re not disqualified. You’re walking.
This isn’t about getting it right.
It’s about staying on the road.
Welcome. Let’s keep walking.
THE TRAILHEAD: A few reflections to begin the walk—one’s I return to often along the way.
If you’re here, you’ve already started walking.
Not because everything is clear — but because something in you refused to stay still.

“Fear not” is one of the most repeated commands in Scripture—not because fear isn’t real, but because God’s presence is.
How we start anything sets the tone for seeing it through—and ultimately how it turns out. Coffee wakes my body. His presence steadies my soul. That order matters.
There are kinds of sorrow that announce themselves loudly—collapse, crisis, obvious failure. And then there are kinds that don’t—they quietly arrive.

“Lukewarm” isn’t rebellion. It’s neglect with good intentions.

January is full of promises. By February, most of them are forgotten.
It’s not because people don’t want change. It’s because resolutions are easy to say and hard to answer for.
ALONG THE WAY: More reflections from the road — written while still walking.
We rarely see the whole path. If we did, we might hesitate. Faith does not require a full view. It asks for the next step. Beginning is an act of trust.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
There was a time I treated renewal like an event. A breakthrough. A conference. A reset moment. But renewal isn’t an event. It’s maintenance. Mind. Body. Spirit. Daily.
In our fast-paced world, peace can often seem elusive. Yet, the Bible promises a peace that transcends our understanding.
January is full of promises. By February, most of them are forgotten.
It’s not because people don’t want change. It’s because resolutions are easy to say and hard to answer for.
Advent Week 4 - The greatest gift of Christmas isn’t what God gives us — it’s that He gave us Himself.
Advent Week 3 - “Joy, in Scripture, is not a mood or a moment. It’s a steady confidence rooted in the nearness of God.
Advent Week 1 - If there’s one thing God’s people have always excelled at, it’s waiting. Long, dramatic, centuries-long waiting.
