THE ROAD BACK
STILL WALKING…
All reflections from the start of my journey — written along the way — still walking today.
A place to explore earlier terrain — not a chronological on-ramp.
These reflections appear most recent first — scroll to move further back along the road.
PEACE REMAINS
.”…therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:7
PERSEVERANCE
Perseverance does not require us to deny our wounds or pretend we are unaffected. It is the quiet choice to keep bringing our burdens before the Lord when answers are slow and strength feels depleted.
PEACE IN CONFLICT
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
Find your happy place and bask in the peace it brings.
The Wrestle
There’s a subtle invitation here: not to avoid the wrestling, but to remain present in it. To stop measuring faith by how steady we feel and begin recognizing it in how we continue to turn toward God, even when we’re unsure.
🎵 SONG INCLUDED 🎵
HE IS RISEN
On this day of celebration—the resurrection of Christ Jesus, we must remember his most important lessons. We must live them—as He did.
Here to Serve
“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” — Matthew 20:28
Even small acts, offered honestly, begin to carry a different weight. Not because they are impressive, but because they are aligned with Him.
THE MESSY MIDDLE
"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward cal of God in Christ Jesus — Philippians 3:13-14
THE NEVER ENDING TEST
I notice how quickly my patience fades in ordinary moments. A slow line at the store, a traffic jam when I’m running late, a plan that doesn’t unfold the way I expected.
JOY IN THE CLIMB
We rarely see the whole path. If we did, we might hesitate. Faith does not require a full view. It asks for the next step. Beginning is an act of trust.
A NEW CREATION
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
DAILY RENEWAL
There was a time I treated renewal like an event. A breakthrough. A conference. A reset moment. But renewal isn’t an event. It’s maintenance. Mind. Body. Spirit. Daily.
SURRENDER TO PEACE
In our fast-paced world, peace can often seem elusive. Yet, the Bible promises a peace that transcends our understanding.
Why Resolutions Fail
January is full of promises. By February, most of them are forgotten.
It’s not because people don’t want change. It’s because resolutions are easy to say and hard to answer for.
Gratitude, Grace, and Gravy
And if someone asks what you’re thankful for this year? Here’s a good, honest answer: “I’m thankful for God’s patience with me… and mashed potatoes.” 🙏🏼
